Crystal Hollinger has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently a Licensed Resident in Social Work and working towards licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Work under the supervision of Ms. Philisha Woodard LCSW and Leyana Overstreet Stevenson LCSW. Crystal has a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices. Her approach to therapy is eclectic, using evidence-based techniques that have been proven to help with specific problems and adapting her approach to each client’s unique needs and treatment goals. She most often uses interventions from various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution-Focused amongst others. She creates a safe and supportive space for her clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, utilizing a person-centered, empathetic, non-judgmental approach.
